As Alberta’s unemployment rate climbed to 9.3 per cent in June, 4Seasons Transportation is excited to celebrate the launch of its hiring campaign seeking 50 part-time school bus drivers. From a giant balloon display to doughnuts and coffee, 4Seasons is thrilled to be able to finally welcome applicants in person at its head office at 85 Freeport Blvd NE #102 after various virtual events over the COVID-19 pandemic.

On Thursday, July 22, from 10:00 a.m. to noon, Calgary job seekers are invited to learn more about this exciting career opportunity and apply to become a driver. 4Seasons staff members, families and children will be on-site to share their stories and experiences of why 4Seasons is a rewarding place to work. The company is proud to offer stable employment and is looking for candidates with six years of winter driving experience and a class five licence (non-GDL) or higher.

As an industry leader for transporting students with disabilities, the goal is to employ compassionate people who want to positively impact the lives of school-aged kids with a range of disabilities. Attendees will learn more about the company’s mission through hearing real-life stories from drivers, staff members and parents who rely on 4Seasons on a daily basis.

The schedule is part-time during school days, giving employees a flexible schedule with summers, evenings and weekends off. Drivers can also take their bus home each night and don’t have to pay for childcare since kids can come along for the ride. Successful applicants will take part in comprehensive in-person and online training starting the last week of July.

“4Seasons is such a welcoming, supportive and diverse environment,” says Ourania Syntychaki, School Bus Driver at 4Seasons Transportation. “I’ve been a driver here for many years, and I’ve enjoyed seeing students grow up, along with the flexibility the role brings.”
“We are so excited to kick-off our hiring campaign with the community in-person. The pandemic has been hard on many people, and we’re thrilled to share more about why a career with 4Seasons is so rewarding.”  says Brooke Garcia, CEO of 4Seasons Transportation. “This is a great opportunity for those who are looking for a new career with a meaningful impact. We’re looking forward to starting the school year with an amazing group of compassionate drivers.
